BIO
My name is Ashlee Rene Thompson and I am a contemporary painter and sculptor from Montgomery, Alabama. I recently earned my MFA in Studio Art and a certificate in Museum Studies from The University of Alabama. In previous academia, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts as well as my Master of Liberal Arts degree from Auburn University at Montgomery in Montgomery, AL. Since 2015, I have served as an adjunct instructor for the Fine Arts department at Auburn University at Montgomery. Alongside teaching, I have continued making works of art and have proudly exhibited in national and international juried exhibitions. As far as curatorial experience, I have worked with several gallery spaces as a curator and exhibit designer. In particular, I served as the volunteer chairperson of the exhibition committee for the Kelly Fitzpatrick Memorial Gallery in Wetumpka, AL during 2018. I currently live and work in Tuscaloosa, AL.
